Testimonials

Ms. Valeria is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Not only is she a spectacular violinist, but she also genuinely loves each of her students. She never lets me take an easy way out, and the hard work that I have put in has made me a stronger violinist. Ms. Valeria isn't one to give false compliments, either. She'll tell you what you're struggling with in a gracious manner. Because she's so kind and honest, getting a compliment from her is pure gold. In summary, Ms. Valeria is a teacher I appreciate not just because she plays violin well. She also always treats me with patience and respect, and I value her guidance greatly.

I cannot recommend Valeria highly enough. My daughter has been taking violin lessons from Valeria for 5 1/2 years, and I have seen her grow tremendously in that time. Valeria has taught her far more than just practical skills; she has taught her to truly love the instrument and to want to be a better musician! Time and time again, Valeria has gone out of her way to provide performance opportunities for her students that help them grow, show them what is possible for their futures, and bless the community -- above and beyond the classroom. Teaching violin is far more than just a job for her -- she is truly invested in each of her students, and it shows. I honestly believe she is probably the very best string teacher in the Tampa Bay area, and I recommend her wholeheartedly!

During the 3 years I have been with Mrs. Valeria, I have enjoyed my violin lessons. She has helped me improve my technique and musicality a lot. I play with more phrasing and better tone now. Under her guidance, I was able to get into All County and All State ensembles. She is attentive, patient, and accommodating teacher.

I am a "Queen-ager" who decided at age 69 to learn to play the violin. I have found Val to be a skilled musician and an excellent teacher. She anticipates what parts of each new piece will present a challenge and introduces those areas in small steps that are easily managed. At each lesson she gives praise for what you accomplished successfully, listens to you explain your struggles and formulates a plan to help you proceed. Every week I leave feeling positive and motivated.

My two boys have been learning violin with Mrs. Valeria Frege at TBMA for almost 5 years. Valeria is simply amazing. She has demonstrated her professionalism in music as well as her passion in teaching young musicians. One of the biggest challenges for children when learning an instrument is persistence, but both of my boys have been consistent and love to attend their lessons every single week for 5 years. Valeria makes a huge impact in my boys' learning experience. She truly cares about the students and will make every effort to help students get in all possible music programs/events, which is a huge plus for my boys musical journey.

After not playing the violin for over 30 years, I was terrified of starting up again!  I have been so lucky to have Val as my teacher -- so patient, and with so many techniques for learning.  I am not only getting back to the level I was before I stopped playing so many years ago, but my techniques are so much better now.  If you're picking up a new instrument as an adult, or refreshing your skills from years ago -- I can't recommend Val enough.  Make sure that you're learning with the proper techniques, so that you'll be playing at your best potential!
